Reynolds is currently Sheriff Mike Thompson in Resident Evil. Despite the great cast and hilarious scenes, I can't get into the aforementioned show, so my example of Reynolds' ability is from The Closer, Season 1.
Brenda has recently arrived in L.A. She doesn't know her way around yet; on the way to a crime scene, she got lost (more than once) on Mulholland Drive, which I gather is a bit of an in-joke for L.A. residents.
When, at the end of the episode, she goes off to arrest the man that her not-yet-loyal team didn't pick up at her request, the one loyal team member Sergent David Gabriel follows her out of the squad room. Hurt and belligerent, Brenda tries to turn down his help.
Corey Reynolds as Gabriel responds,
"When you handcuff the [adulterous husband] and put him in the back of your car, you're gonna have helicopters, news vans, and millions of television viewers all escorting you back to the Parker Center. Are you absolutely certain that you can, by yourself, drive back here without getting lost?"
What makes the line so funny is the slightest inflection/emphasis by Reynolds on "by yourself."
Great character! Great line! Great actor!
(Brenda does accept his help.)
