Picture Books: Z is for Zippy Zion

Gene Zion with illustrator Margaret Bloy Graham produced the Harry dog books, as in Harry, the Dirty Dog.

I remembered the book. Rereading it didn't bring back any feelings of nostalgia. It's cute, and Harry is very doggy. But I don't remember the book being a favorite. I simply remember it existing.

What I did think about was how the machinations of dogs flow through our culture, rather like Godfather jokes, only somewhat more relatable.

Take the Marmaduke jokes in Monk. Monk loves Marmaduke and even starts an interview with a Marmaduke joke.
